Archbishop Smith's New Year's Message
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, as we come to the close of the Jubilee Year of Hope, the Lord now calls us to carry the graces granted to us into the year ahead. Hope, once received, must be lived. Let us, then, become diligent stewards of this hope in our daily lives, drawing from the paschal mystery celebrated in the Eucharist to sustain our efforts in evangelization and service. With this in mind, I look forward to 2026 as a year in which we put the blessing of this Jubilee into action: strengthening initiatives that inspire renewal in our parishes, deepening our life of prayer and discipleship, fostering healing, and accompanying those who seek a way back to Jesus and his Church...
Fr. Gilbert's Silver Anniversary

Family of the Month Program
The Blessed Sacrament Council 18018 of the Knights of Columbus is starting their Family of the Month Program for our Parish. This program promotes and supports the development of strong and vibrant families that model Christian family values, participate in Sunday Mass and volunteer in parish ministries and activities. You are invited to nominate any deserving family of the Parish for this recognition by the deadline at the end of each month. Every second Sunday of the month at the 9:30 a.m. Mass, Fr. Gilbert Nunez will present the Family of the Month Certificate of the previous month to the recipient family. A family has been chosen for July. To nominate a family, email: blessed18018@gmail.co or myrnabondocgonzales@gmail.com; or text 604-809-5784 or 778-773-2623.

In loving memory
Dear Parishioners:
Our Reverend Father Vittorio Scomparin, who was our Pastor from 2000 to 2016, passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2025, in Eraclea, near Venice, Italy. He was 72 years old.
Father Vittorio was especially dedicated to the New Evangelization and introduced the Neocatechumenal Way to our Parish and to the Archdiocese of Vancouver. He assisted in establishing the Archdiocesan Missionary Seminary Redemptoris Mater of Vancouver. He oversaw the seismic upgrade and renovation of our church.
