Dear Parishioners:
We regret to inform you of the death of Reverend Father Vittorio Scomparin, who was our Pastor from 2000 to 2016. He died last Sunday, July 29, 2025, in Eraclea, near Venice, Italy. He was 72 years old.
Father Vittorio was especially dedicated to the New Evangelization and introduced the Neocatechumenal Way to our Parish and to the Archdiocese of Vancouver. He assisted in establishing the Archdiocesan Missionary Seminary Redemptoris Mater of Vancouver. He oversaw the seismic upgrade and renovation of our church.
A Memorial Mass for Father Vittorio will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Parish this Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 9 a.m. You are all invited to attend.

Family of the Month Program

You are invited to nominate any deserving family of the Parish for this recognition by the deadline at the end of each month. Every second Sunday of the month at the 9:30 a.m. Mass, Fr. Gilbert Nunez will present the Family of the Month Certificate of the previous month to the recipient family. A family has been chosen for July.
